Aurora apps enable you to add features to Aurora, create unique solar workflows for customers or pull Aurora summary data into your app, platform, or integration. Using Aurora apps, you can create custom apps for your own tenant or make your apps available to other Aurora tenants.

You can build embedded or back-end Aurora apps.

Embedded applications

Embedded applications have two components:

• your front-end application embedded into Aurora via iframes,
• a backend component that’s responsible for syncing data.

Back-end applications

You can build an Aurora app without front-end. For example, your app might retrieve project summary data from Aurora and post site survey results without the need for additional UI in Aurora.
